The game
Prankster Land is a simple plateforming game made in 32 hours by myself during the Global Game Jam 2024. It was my first Godot project and was inspired by the other plateformer like "Unfair Mario" that were popular a few years ago.
The goal is simple, get to the end while avoiding the traps I laid out. Try it out here
What I did
Since I was alone I did everything in the game. That explains the less impressive visiual quality compared to some of the other games that are displayed here. Nonetheless, the game allowed me to try out Godot and learn about how the engine is designed.
I wanted to keep the design simple overall to avoid wasting time on non essential features. We have a basic plateformer movement system, a checkpoint system, multiple traps and a level design that is short but, I believe efficient.
